DOWN Complete Mastering Of Sophomore CD
January 16, 2002New Orleans supergroup DOWN, who feature in their ranks PANTERA's Philip Anselmo (vocals),C.O.C.'s Pepper Keenan (guitars),EYEHATEGOD's Jimmy Bower (drums),PANTERA's Rex Brown (bass) and CROWBAR's Kirk Windstein (guitars),reportedly mastered their as-yet-untitled sophomore effort at New York City's Sterling Sound facility last week and were back at the studio yesterday for some last-minute touch-ups. Brown and producer Warren Riker (i.e. SUBLIME, LAURYN HILL, SANTANA) were said to be present at the sessions, which officially concluded the production process for the CD, the group's first since 1995's Nola. As previously reported, DOWN's second album is due to be issued through Elektra Records on March 26th. A Japanese release is set for March 13th through Warner Music. DOWN's Nola has shifted 225,753 copies in the US since its release over six years ago, according to Soundscan.
